B Grade Team List

All games are to be played at the BEGA INDOOR SPORTS STADIUM on MONDAY NIGHTS with the first round to be played on 25/07/2022. 

There will be NO games played on Monday 22nd August!!

C GRADE times are:  4:30pm - 5:20pm and 5:25pm – 6:10pm 

B GRADE times are:  6:15pm – 7:00pm and 7:05pm – 7:50pm

There will be supervision at the stadium from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.

The first and last teams will be required to help set up and pack up (only takes 10 - 15 minutes). 

Coaching will be available for those who haven’t played before. We do ask that each team nominate an adult as “TEAM MANAGER” to be a primary point of contact and to supervise ‘substitutes’ rotating on and off the court during the game. 

Indoor hockey is a 6 a-side game with 5 players on the court and 1 player in goals. The ball cannot be raised off the ground and may only be pushed (not ‘hit’). Also, the ball must not touch any players’ feet or be pushed with the ‘back’ of the stick. It is a fun and fast game with 20 minute halves. We recommend having at least one ‘sub’ for each game as it can use a lot of energy. We also recommend that you wear shin guards and it is compulsory that you wear a mouth guard if you are playing on the court.  
Sapphire Coast Hockey will supply indoor hockey sticks, balls and goal keeping equipment to be used for this competition. This equipment is to be respected, kept at the stadium and is not to be taken home. If you would like your own indoor hockey stick and ball, they are available for purchase at Sports Power in Bega and Merimbula. You will need to bring your own shin guards and mouth guard. 

Once all team nominations have been received we will send out an email to the players recorded on the nomination forms with details on how to register. Sapphire Coast Hockey uses an online platform for registrations and each player must register individually prior to taking the court for their first game. The cost for TERM 3 Indoor Hockey is $30 per player and the competition will run for 8 weeks.
